Problems with EZCA ...

I have EZCA v1.17 in Windows 8 Pro. It's work well with my TrackIR 5, but...

I have installed the Angle of Attack Camera Set, that have a good pre-configured view to fly the NGX.

I can't swith between cameras, even in the EZCA studio or key assignements via EZCA ... Why? :(

Configure your own keys to each camera.

 

I think when you install a new set, they overwrite your previous keys.

 

It's done! But doesn't change. It's always back to VC view, even when pressing the assigned key and don't change the view.

 

Can anyone confirm that it run ok in W8?

I used Windows 8 until late last month, and currently use Windows 7, but I had no issues while I used it, I'd suggest you read the manual, I do not believe that it is a Windows 8 problem.

It doesn't work!

 

I've tested everything! Ran EZCA Config many times... Re-install EZCA... But NO RESULTS! I'm afraid!

 

There are any way to delete panel.cfg and it regenereate it?

I think I know what your problem is as I just solved it yesterday for myself, after long hours of despair...

 

EZCA works perfectly fine with win8. But if you're talking about win8, that probably means you recently updated your computer. The problem is that EZCA requires an activation through Internet. If, like me, you installed EZCA for the first time a while ago and then changed your computer or updated windows, you can't use EZCA effeciently anymore although it installs and seems to run fine (views don't change, erratic controls though correctly set up, etc.). This happens because you can not just install EZCA from the setup exe file.

 

Here's the solution: Find the directory you downloaded when your purchased EZCA. In there, you'll find an exe file with some kind of "serial" or "activation" mention in the name (sorry I'm not home and don't have access to this). Run this file and with the help of the online ressources included in it, you'll get through activating EZCA for your new computer/windows. The normal EZCA setup will then launch and you'll be able to update to the lastest version using a simple update exe.

 

Let me know if it works! Now my question to you: where did you find the file to update to version 1.17? I think I'm still in v1.16 and downloaded it fairly recently. Did EZCA release a new version?

And a little request: If this solution worked for you, please send an email over to EZCA asking them to mention this problem and solution in their manual. I'm sure a lot of people are in trouble with this because it's not mentionned anywhere that I know of...

The solution was installing it from the Flight1 wrapper with the .key file

 

Now was working, but having one issue. TrackIR doesn't connect withy EZCA. Two simconnct files are renamed. I'll try to reinstall EZCA!

I'm afraid I can't help you with Track IR because I don't use it, but I know there's a link to a Youtube video in EZCA's manual that shows you how to connect Track IR to EZCA step by step. Just give it a look.

I have all steps in the video. I know how TrackIR works but it doesn't connect to EZCA. I'll try reinstalling TrackIR or older version of it.

Hi Jose88, I had the same problem after updating TracIR to latest software version. Uninstalled TrackIR and reinstalled using version 5.1. Now works like a charm. Rgards
