  1. Thank you problem solved! So it was maybe some windows updates that messed the whole thing up...
  2. Guys I have the weirdest problem... Please help, ChasePlane and my P3D v4 has become unusable! Every time the sim window is in focus (being it full screen of not), ChasePlane lags like crazy: I press the "next view" key and it changes views VERY slowly only after 1 or 2 seconds for example. It lags so much that I can't even pan around with the mouse, no reaction. I have this problem with every ChasePlane action: panning with the mouse, panning with the joystick, changing views with the keyboard shortcuts, panning around with Track IR... basically, everything. What I don't understand is that once I switch focus to ChasePlane window using WIN+TAB for example, the views change smoothly, Track IR works seamlessly, etc. I already tried to turn on/off experimental versions, advanced features, disable control input system, (clean) uninstall/reinstall ChasePlane, delete cameras.cfg, turn up/down sim settings (it's not at all related to sim's FPS), run the sim full screen or windowed mode... Nothing has helped so far. Everything was working great a few days ago and I can't figure out when and where the problem originated. Any help greatly appreciated!
  3. Hi guys, Does anyone knows if the RAAS version included in FSPilotShop's FS2Crew - Special Collection Set is the latest at the moment? I'm running low on remaining downloads... It says "File Last Updated: Tuesday, 22nd September, 2015 @ 06:01am" so I'm pretty sure it's not the latest then... Are they gonna upload it soon? Thx in advance.
  4. Yes indeed, it's weird but it's a fix. Even the creator of EZdok (Marniftarr on Simforums) was like "oh ok, i now what is messed up since this fix does the tick". He found the bug and corrected it in 1.18 beta. Yeah it's woking in win 8.1. And you don't even need to do that if you switch to 1.18 beta as stated above. It's not risky, the beta works fine. Try it, you can easily downgrade if you're not happy with it.
  5. Gentlmen, I think we're on to something here for everyone who has problems with mouse in Windows 8 A guy named Frank suggest a weird solution for a problem I had with Windows 8 and some other add-on for FSX (Reality XP gauges, check it out here if interested). His solution solved my problem and also made the mouse issues with EZdok vanish Try it and see for yourself: Open the Windows 8 search box: Win + Q Type: "choose how to report problems" Select: "Never check for solutions (not recommended)" After 2 computer restarts, 6 or 7 launches of FSX, different aircrafts, sceneries, airports, seasons and daytimes: it works every time! Hope you all can confirm this. And anyway, did you guys know about this: http://www.simforums...topic51089.html

  7. Hi guys, After having carefully read this tread and done some testing, I found what was causing the problem without a doubt (at least for me): ENB To be precise, it's the d3d9.dll file that comes with the ENB, not the enbseries.ini. As I understand it, the d3d9.dll is what "injects" the ENB settings contained in the enbseries.ini file in FSX (or whatever game you put the files in the main folder in...). And as there are many different versions of ENBs compatible with FSX out there, if you want to keep the great look of the ENB settings you got used to and get rid of the crash on exit problem, you just need to find another ENB version and replace the d3d9.dll in your FSX folder with the one contained in this new version. With some research for a proper version and some testing, you should be ok. With the few versions I have, I'm afraid I still haven't found a 100% stable solution, so I'm not sharing anything here. If anyone knows of an ENB version that works perfectly fine and does not induce "crash on exit", it would be great to see a download link posted here. Cheers!
  8. Hey great news, I think I found the solution! At least it works for me :yahoo: My first impression was good and I didn't need to go through the tedious process of enabling/disabling each of the 8 previously mentioned suspects individually: the cause of my problem was FSUIPC. After enabling everything else and refusing access just to FSUIPC (with a fresh and untweaked FSX.cfg file), I earned my certificate without any problem. It even stays there after restarting FSX, which is what we wanted I guess... So now, the only thing left to do for me is restoring my backed up FSX.cfg file and find a way to not have FSUIPC interfering with certificates (expecting the problem isn't caused by my tweaked FSX.cfg file, but after these tests chances are slim). I'll report what I've found to FSUIPC support and some forums where people were left helplessly with no solution. Thanks again for your help !
  9. All right, made some progress tonight: After creating a brand new FSX.cfg file and refusing access to all add-ons at FSX startup, I passed the solo flight "checkride" and obtained the certificate (I just force-closed FSX at that point to be sure that the certificate wouldn't be saved in order to continue testing). So at this point, many options are still open. Then, I re-launched FSX and granted access to all add-ons, passed the solo flight "checkride" and... nothing. No certificate. So at this point, I presume that the problem is caused by one of the add-ons I granted access to. Here's the list of what is prompted when I launch FSX with a fresh FSX.cfg file: New key mappings (acceleration pack) EZCA AFXModuleFSX.dll (Flight One Software, Inc.) --> Airport facilitator X, comes with FS Global to modify / adapt airports altitude A2A_Feel.dll AccuFeelMenu.dll PMDG_HUD_interface.dll ViMaCoreX.dll (VistaMare Software) --> required by some aerosoft airports like Paris Charles-De-Gaule FSUIPC4.dll (simFlight GmbH) I bet we have a culprit among those 8 :Waiting: Stay tuned !
  10. Hi Meshman, Thanks for you help. I set fsx.cfg to read only because, as I read it somewhere (and thought it made sense), it can prevent FSX or some other program to make unwanted changes to a file you spent quite some time tweaking. But you have a point there... I will try to move my fsx.cfg to let fsx create a new and fresh one and I'll let you know. I'll do some testing with/without add-ons, tweaks, etc. Stay tuned.
  11. No, I'm not. I always do run it as administrator. I have made quite a lot of changes to fsx.cfg and set it to read only But I don't have the impression it could be caused by that. It's more likely to have something to do with FSUIPC (paid version) maybe, I don't know, just a feeling... I think I'll do some more testing. Thanks anyway. Always open for some more help
  12. Hi there firehawk44, Thank you very much for your reply. Yes I already checked that link but there seems to be a problem with the link provided on that page as it directs to some funny website (yoururl...) which has nothing to do with fsx. Have you tried it? What do you mean by that? If you're talking about the GrantedRewards.BIN file being in my C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\ folder, then I can tell you that it is. Let me know if you meant something I didn't understand. I just gave it a try for some rewards and the problem occurs only with the "certificates" (ie first solo flight, private pilot, IFR, etc.). I can obtain other rewards without any problems, they appear correctly. Thanks again and let me know if you/anybody think of something else :-)
  13. Hi, I have a problem I can't solve in spite of the few hours I already spent searching around: I am not getting the certificates after successfully completing the checkrides in fsx lessons. For example for the solo flight, I fly the traffic pattern well, land on the runway and bring the aircraft to a stop, "Rod" congratulates me and the flight comes to an end displaying the map (flight analyzer). When I click OK, nothing happens and the certificate is not showing in the rewards section. I already tried to move the GrantedRewards.BIN & GrantedRewardsOld.BIN files to a different folder in order to let FSX recreate them but no success. I am also sure that the checkbox authorizing mission changes (no rewards) is UNchecked. As I noticed on Google, this problem seems to be quite common but the solution is nowhere to be found. Anyone can help please?
  14. Wow thank you so much! My FSX on Windows 8 x64 seems to be running like a charm now, after so much headache... I'm glad I found this topic somehow, and foremost I'm glad I found it before trying this method all the way through (time consuming): http://www.pilote-virtuel.com/viewtopic.php?id=51466 (yeah that's in French...) Anyhow, this problem seems to be related to the lack of .agn files described in the above link which forces FSX to go searching for those files non-stop and draining out the memory. After copying your .dll file, I had no more messages saying ".agn files not found" on that Procmon program. For reference, my FSX used to crash a lot when I was changing airports after having started a flight. Once again, thx!
  15. Hey great, I'm glad I could help! And thank you for the download link. I'm afraid I can't help you with Track IR because I don't use it, but I know there's a link to a Youtube video in EZCA's manual that shows you how to connect Track IR to EZCA step by step. Just give it a look. EDIT: The video was actually on their web page: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhofJbEcmFM Let me know if you've fix that as well.
