ORBX / UTX / GEX

Hi found in my FSX default sceneries files like:

 

dem004.bg_

dem006.bg_

 

the orginal file of a clean installation was

 

dem004.bgl

dem006.bgl

 

this I find in a lot of folders - do you know why this bgls are deactivated and which programm is doing this?

It has obviously been done by an addon developer who doesn't understand how FSX works. Any mesh of higher resolution than the default would override them without renaming.

So dem is mesh. Tell me if I am not right. GEX does not alter Mesh it is only about textures and objects. UTX does not alter default mesh data, I did a new installation. Maybe it is done by ORBX or FS Global (which is mesh data) I do not know how to find out for what addon it is. Maybe somebody knows which addon alters thedefault mesh without warning the customer.

Dem0004.bgl is the mesh for Samoa if this helps.

Maybe this helps to tell me that it was not ORBX which altered the original mesh. There is no ORBX Samoa. Is there anywhere a list which Folder is for which countrie or Region?
