HELP ! "Invalid hardware or driver detected

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've been in this position before but cant remember the solution.

Updated my GeForce 660 card driver from the NVidia site last weekend before shutting down the computer, not had the system on again until today.

Now im getting the error message "This graphics card does not meet the minimum requirements for shader support. This product requires a geforce3/Radeon8500 class or better graphics card" when starting FSX.

I've uninstalled the newest driver 314.21 and reinstalled the last one which worked 313.96 but still keep getting this message. I even reinstalled using the Advanced option performing a clean installation. Done the same in safe mode, used ccleaner in between uninstall and reinstall ???

I've even reinstalled the original driver from the installation disc of the card when I purchased it under the option  still no good ?

Any suggestions ? Im grounded until this is resolved. Missed CTP today too ... gutted !

Thanks in advance.

Gary Blake.

Ok sorted, it would seem the new Nvidia drivers for the 660 don't like the Redfly screen slider program for android as screen extension for third monitor..
