Thanks Jim, you were spot on about the EMT, started to reinstall using only P3D installers and testing after each addon and all is working great. May have ago at redirecting some older addons to a temporary folder and see if I can manually move and edit files across. I recon scenery addons will be ok with this ?

Ok, I guess I'm just trying too hard to her everything installed like FSX was. Thanks for the info. Will strip it all back and start again using P3D installers only. Just another quick one, if I come across installers for p3d v2 or 2.5 will they behave fine in v3 ?

Just a thought. Could I not copy the fsx.exe file into the p3d route folder then use the flight 1 registry repair tool to point at that file in the p3d route then tricking fsx installers towards the p3d area ? Not sure how alike the files and folders are set between the two programs.

Hmm, ok, but why would EMT cause this issue. I thought EMT just directed FSX installers to P3D and nothing else ?

Hi all, new to P3d, been away from flight sim for a while and decided to come back from FSX to the all new version 3 of P3D. Purchased at the weekend but not had a stable response yet rofm the simulation. Have so far installed ASN and UK200 LHR extreme using the FLightsim Estonia tool. The program crashes whilst setting a scenario and selecting aircraft to any point just after getting into the aircraft. Error states Appcrash for Prepar3d3D.exe Using version 3.2.3.16769, Stackhash_0a9e Most frustrating. Any ideas how to fix ?

Ok, it's nothing wrong with Avsim, I tried at home on two different computers both with IE and again with FireFox and the download hangs at 99% / 1 sec. every time. I tried to download the same files at work using company equipment and all works fine. So what is it that stops me from downloading files from Avsim at home ? I can seem to download anything else from other websites no problem ?

Hi, 1) I've only tried downloading liveries for MJC, PMDG NGX and 777, all with the same problem. 2) Using IE 3) not that I'm aware of, just download straight from IE

I did have the latest version, as said I had to uninstall and reinstall ... All working now. Thanks for your help guys.

Hi all, anyone else here have problems downloading from the Avsim library ? I cant download anything, progress gets to 99% then stops then fails ? Downloads from other sites work fine ? Help appreciated.

Im sure ive seen users having the Wx radar working in the NGX as does with the 777 & ASN. Im sure I have the latest NGX update for FSX but cant seem to operate the Wx controls on the pedestal ? Do we even have the NGX Wx working yet in FSX ?

Tried to launch the NGX today and was asked for activation, not sure why, I've made no updates and has been fine since installation. Seems the same happens when selecting the 777. Cant use any PMDG products until I activate but when I enter the serial to do so an error occurs ... any ideas ? A few screenies :

Thanks Jim, that done the trick, there were several back up DLL files from various add-ons, I reverted back to the last backup. All working now, really appreciate your help.

Hi Jim, I reinstalled the FSDT addon Manager, didn't work, but, I then isolated the DLL, EXE & CFG from App/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX and restarted FSX and it worked back to default settings. I reintroduced the DLL, EXE and CFG one by one and it is the DLL with the problem, as soon as I reintroduced the DLL it stops working again. So my next question, how can I fix the DLL without reinstalling everything ? I have submitted this to the Flight 1 forums (sim forums), they are very slow to respond so will try here : This delightful error appeared a couple of weeks ago, couldn't find a way around so reinstalled windows and FSX, worked great and again back into 2 weeks its back, the error window is headed Ezdok camera ? FSX starts with the splash screen to almost hitting the main screen then disappears with the error in the attached picture. Desperately seeking a resolution without the dreaded reinstall again. I've searched the forums but its confusing as hell what to do. If it helps, as discussed in the other forum I ran FSX through REX, still don't work and now the error message above no longer shows but FSX still fails to start in the same way. Tried the uninstall and reinstall of EZDOK using the red Flight 1 logo method with absolutely no internet / virus programs running, still no good, the annoying thing is the main screen where you choose the aircraft and airport, weather etc. flashes up momentarily then disappears without trace. Checked the task manager and again no signs of FSX running ? I have removed EZDOK again, carried out a registry clean, removed the lines I the .cfg and .exe files, still no good. Also read somewhere that FSDT products may cause this somehow and would resolve by reinstalling, so I reinstalled GSX but to no avail. Getting desperate now

Hmm, I had the same activation issue, make sure port 8888 is open (port forward) and try, then disable all firewall and anti virus and try again, failing that drastic measures are required, reinstall windows back to a new operating system (wipe clean). No idea what the cause was but windows re installation was the only fix. To be on the safe side I reinstalled all fsx and pmdg 777 before anything else including anti virus and third party firewall software.

Anyone experience stutters when fsuipc autosave kicks in ? Ive changed the save to 300 seconds so its not as noticeable but still anoying when it happens. Cant say I really noticed on my previous install of fsx with the 200LR but i had to wipe my operating system to get the 300ERX to activate and now I do notice. Any ideas ?

Well KSEA - EGLL complete, non eventful, not sure what I was expecting but was on the edge waiting for a freeze or fatal but nothing. Frames remain smooth all the way, through storms, using Rex and UK2000 EGLL v3. Was a pleasure to fly the 300ERX. Will try installing ORBX global and see how far I can push VAS with my next flight to WSSS and then onto YSSY.

Now 5.5hrs into KSEA - EGLL and all is behaving, maybe its a case of don't be shy, give it a try and tweak

I'm 2 hours into my flight from KSEA to EGLL and all seems good, settings are high, but not max, VAS is behaving at the moment. Just need some storms to check out the Wx radar.

Its not really the OOM error thats worrying me, its the freezing which seems to happen very soon after departure. Now I see there is a work around for one of the conditions where the undocked gauges don't correspond to the cockpit, and I'm now led to beleive that the big freeze is caused by short flight plans in the fmc ? Correct ? If this is the case then a trip from seattle to Heathrow shouldn't be an issue ?

Ah man, I was hoping to wake this morning and download the SP1b so I can make the jump from KSEA to EGLL today in the ERX. Its not worth me doing without the next step without ruining my day.
