    Ok, solved ... I ended up reinstalling a fresh version of windows, ditching everything back to factory default. First thing I done was to install FSX and the 777 setup before anything else. This resulted in a successful activation ... So, now for the painful process of putting everything else back onto my computer. Thanks Ryan and RSR for your help.

    For the record, just connected hotspot through the 3G mobile network on my O2 iPhone 5 and still a no go ... draining the life out of me now ! Edit : Also just changed out my Netgear router for my old Belkin, configured the ports and this don't work either ;o(

    Ive opened up this port and checked its open and it is open, still no good ;o(

    RTM and SP1 are fine, its the 300ER part that wont activate ?

    Ticket opened, Ryan responded, I have ports 80 & 8888 open and have checked this with a port forward network utility, its still not working ? Awaiting further response from the support team.

    I bet its a firewall issue, whats the program called that connects to the net for verification ?

    Cant connect to the server to activate the 777-300 ? Anyone else have problems ? Tried several times over the past 40 minutes and no joy ?

    Damn, just fancied a long haul in the 772, cant get a response either ... o well maybe a VFR jolly in a PA28 instead

    I think pilots are pushing for too much, keep the cloud layers and draw distance down, still looks and feels great and keeps the CPU happy, play with settings.

    yeah that's a no go ... never in between wheels. I still carry out a mini walk round after the headset man and engineer have done their full walk checking behind, between wheels and for pins before I push back. I'm in management now so don't do as much pushing but still keep my ticket valid for a change of scenery or if one on the ramp go sick.

    EZCA or equivalent is a must for VC ... no turning back to sad old 2D now ! Go get it and try it, a bit fiddly at first but I guarantee you will never go back

    Gulp ... just swallow my heart ... again ... amazing piece of kit, a release this weekend would be an advantage to me with next week off work to sit in front of the PC flicking switches and pushing buttons, although the wife won't be happy but hey ho I can live with a little nagging.

    Brilliant ! that's exactly the answer I was looking for ... not ... is there any notable difference in sound ? Tone ? etc# Can you tell the difference between a 110 and a 115 by listening ?

    Ok, I too would like to have the feature of selecting transponder modes and ident commands from the pedestal. Now if I remember correctly this can be acheived by setting up macros, I think thats what its called ?
