September 15, 200421 yr Hi,Visited the Windows Update site and found this: 'Recommended Update for DirectX 9.0 - Managed DirectX' under optional software updates."This update for DirectX 9.0 - Managed DirectX (DX) includes security and performance updates. Before installation, verify your system is running .NET Framework and either, the DX 9 gold version, or the DX9.0a version, of DX. Download now for the latest Managed DirectX updates."What I would like to know is do I need this update if DirectX 9.0c is installed?Mike
September 15, 200421 yr Look under your drive:Program FilesManaged DirectX (0901) for this folder. If you have Microsoft.NET installed, you probably have all the Security Updates installed for Managed DirectX.I believe this is more for software designers using directx in their designs.W. September 15, 200421 yr Author Hi,Thanks for responding. Yes, I have .NET version 1.1 installed and it's fully up to date.I noted the folder name was Managed DirectX (0900) so I thought, what the hell, and went ahead and installed the update. Now the folder is called Managed DirectX (0901).Thanks!Mike
