F-86 Sabre ADF tuning Question

Featured Replies

HI all,

I'm new to the Sabre and bought it just a few days ago.

I have a few difficoulties tuning the ADF.

Let's explain this with an example: I want to fly to EDDG, Münster Osnabrück airport, so I try to tune 371 in the ADF. Now as it's difficould to see the exact frequency I go to 370 and then play around a little. But I never get any indication on the instrument... Same problems at other NDBs, so it shouldn't be a general problem with my FSX, expecially because the NDBs are working with aircrafts with a pecise tuner.

Am I doing something wrong, or is there any more precise method to set the ADF?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

First of all, the only time you will get an indication from the ADF needle is if the function selector switch is on ANT. Second, you can click the glass of the ADF tuning display and you will get a indication of ADF frequency in the gunsight. Not realistic but i put that there as convenience for this sort of problem.

Allright, thank you very much for this information! I saw that once, but never realised what that was.

That you very much for this information.
