Rwy Centerline bumps

Featured Replies

Wouldnt it be cool to have the aircraft make the bump sounds that you hear when running over the centerline lighting? Maybe a tiny file could be associated with all the runways that have centerline lighting that caused the aircraft to 'bump' as the gear rolled over it, but only if the footprint of the wheels actually were in the area that the centerline lights existed. Just a thought...

Force feedback on the joytsick can give you the thump. Not sure about the sounds though, they would depend on the aircraft? Don't recall hearing much thumping in any of the big passenger jets, but the clattering and hammering in a small GA plane, that can be quite disturbing!Allcott

I dont think there could be a file associated with runways that could do it but maybe a hard-coded "sound generator" program that would pull speed data and airborne/not airborne data out VIA FSUIPC or something and play the thump at variable speed when on the ground. The sound would always be there though, not dependant on the runway type or where on the rwy your nose wheel is, and even on the taxiways.

There are some sound files in the library that do this. Nope, I don't recall their names.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
