I recently downloaded and installed Bernt Stolle's FDE upgrade for the Carenado Grand Caravan. This is one of my favourite aircraft, but I wanted to correct the rather severe and odd flight characteristics that resulted in the plane dropping like a stone when the throttle was eased and any kind of flaps operated. The FDE patch, certainly eradicated this issue, but it seems to have gone in completely the opposite direction. An example would be when descending from about 1000 FPM to 2500 FPM, with half flaps, the AS appears to hardly increase. Another example is on approach, full flaps, throttles right back and the plane once again appears to hardly lose any AS, in fact trying to get the plane to burn off those last few Kts before touchdown is a real headache. Can anyone tell me if this is a realistic copy of the real aircraft? Also, does anyone else experience what I've described? Cheers guys...

Yes Howard I experience the same phenomenon. I too would like to know how realistic this is but in the same token, I find the updated FDE much more realistic to my perceived notion of how a Caravan should behave.

Hi Rendi, sure, I agree. Somehow it's not such of a problem if you know it's fairly realistic.
