Two Monitors with FSX

Featured Replies

I'd like to run 2 monitors with FSX but am having issues. Without even getting into various possible configurations my problem is that if I open a 2nd view and undock it, then move it to the 2nd monitor, the 2nd view slows to a crawl and eventually crashes. Usually my main view is okay but the 2nd window just isn't working for me. So I'm not able to get to first base, let alone try out different ways of configuring it. The 2nd monitor is a different resolution (1900x1080) and aspect ratio (16:9) than my main monitor (1920x1200 and 16:10). Could this be the problem? Otherwise I have a relatively powerful system that I would think should be able to handle the 2nd monitor.

If you find the solution, I would greatly be interested. Been trying for yrs. I once thought disabling Aero peek fixed it but seems not. My dont crash it just slows down the sim considerably. What happens in fullscreen?
