PMDG 747 and Skeleton Issues

Featured Replies

I have been flying her of and on lately and about half the time it seems that at some point I am running into the same issue we had with the NGX before the HIGHMEFIX (sp) The only add on I have other than aircraft is AS2012 SP2. I wonder if the same fix for the NGX would work for the Queen or maybe I should do a clean install? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ron

Sorry if I understand you wrong, but do you have HIGHMEMFIX or not?

If not, browse to your fsx.CFG and under [GRAPHICS] add:
HIGHMEMFIX=1

Please note it will only work if set under [GRAPHICS] and also note the spelling. It's HIGHMEMFIX, nor HIMEMFIX or HIGHMEFIX or something else.

This usually gets rid of these problems.

I do have the HIGHMEFIX=1. I put it in a long time ago when I had issues with the NGX. But when I went to double check darned if I could find that [GRAPHICS] Folder.

Thanks,

Ron

Sometimes we need to delete the fsx.cfg and forget about the HIGHMEMFIX to put it back in ...

Check your spelling of HIGHMEMFIX again. The *.cfg usually starts with the graphics section. You could also use the search function of your text editor.

Remember, there is no graphics   f o l d e r , but a   s e c t i o n   within the *.cfg file.

And just for the record: Neither the 737NGX nor the 744 need this as a fix to the airplanes - it's a fix to FSX needed everytime a number of graphics are to be loaded/displayed - applies to other planes and heavy scenery as well.
