Mobile CPU advice please

Hello,

Before we get started, no, I am not planning to run FS on a laptop. I am looking for something for home and business use. Home will be the typical tasks. For work, I do need to use MS Access and ArcGIS desktop. I won't be doing heavy work in Arc but I do need to fire it up from time to time when in front of a client or working from home.

The main problem I am having is trying to decide on a processor. I don't have a lot of money to spend - I'm thinking about $1,000. For FS, you need a quad core, oc'd - basically the best you can afford. With laptops the quad core rigs that are small (<15") are very expensive if you want something close to 3GHz.

So, should I be looking at cores or speed? Of course, I want both but I just can't afford it. Anyone have a suggestion or advice? If you have a suggestion for a specific model, please let me know.

Overall, this is what I am looking for.

Ability to add an additional stick of RAM if less than 6 gig

Windows 7 64 bit

Back lit KB

VGA, HDMI outputs

Good battery

1900x1020 would be a plus

Around $1,000 or less

Thanks!
