September 29, 200421 yr Hi all, i made a mistake on these Forums tonite by asking a question on the wrong site, let me try here if i may , i have just purchased the 737-700 from PMDG and find the aircraft flys superb , but i would like to use the cockpit from my Dreamfleet 737-400 ,now everyone is entilted to the reasons why or what have you regarding this but for me i like the D/F panel but when i am ready for take off and release the brakes i lose some of the dials and electrics, and would like to know if anyone else has or is using the panel and could help , thanks and regards.
September 29, 200421 yr A strange request........Are you using FS9 / 2004 ?As far as I am aware the Dreamfleet 737 panel does not work in this version of FS anyway.I have to ask though....why spend a large amount of $ on a superb package like the PMDG 737NG only to use its model? Not to mention the fact that the 737NG model is totally different to the classic 737 which the Dreamfleet panel is created for. I doubt very much that you will find anyone here who has done what you are asking. The PMDG aircraft is very realistic and it is well worth spending the time to learn it properly. Try it...you won't regret it. Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
September 30, 200421 yr Hi Qiharrall, thanks for the reply and i should have said that i am using FS2002,and its just that i like the Dreamfleet panel and i like the PMDG 737 , this is just me but as long as things work on the sim that i use then i am happy ,thats about it really, no intention implied regarding the products they are both superb as far as i,m concerned , it takes all sorts ,LOL, regards ,:-beerchug
September 30, 200421 yr Hi,first question - do you use FSUIPC (you should, the last version for FS2002 was freeware)? On the techical tab, do you have the battery life fix box checked?GEN1 and GEN2 are ON on the overhead? They may not be after you load the aircraft, even if you load with engines running. If you answered all questions with "Yes!" and the problem
September 30, 200421 yr Well as one guy who did a little work on that 600-700 panel I can tell you that it will not work. One, they are different cockpits. Classics and NGs while having the same FMC (if updated and minus the GREEN color) they differ on weights, certain AFDS functions to name a few. Just how would you use them? As already mentioned, no one ever has tried this that I am aware, it's akin to using a cessna panel for a king air, just does not work. The dreamfleet flys good, they are coming out with a new improved version (hopefully without the FMC as it's own program). SO you have two great aircraft why not enjoy them for what each has to offer? Anyways, not meaning to preach to you, I understand your desire to fiddle and make something the way you like it just wish I could point you in the the only direction currently possible.Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J.
