Project Canary 2006 - An scenery gem for FSX!

Featured Replies

I was scorching the web for some quality sceneries when I stumbled upon this amazing project from 2006. It began with FS2004 and was updated for FSX. 600mb of very high quality and absolutely free, scenery of the Canary Islands in Spain. :)

Cover picture looked promising:

* You must use a download manager or else the download fails very often, forcing you to restart. I recommend Flashget or the likes.

That's the only place on the web I could find this scenery. I also found a download in 3 pieces, but it appeared to be an older version or something. Not 100% sure. Feel free to post any extra vital information on how to set it up properly for FSX since I also had some trouble installing it. The 600mb file comes with an installer for fsx, but it doesn't add any entries to your scenery. It does come with a pdf guide that says which entries should be added manually, but doing that, exactly as it says and some airports won't load (fsx ctd with nt dll error). Trying few of them, I managed to get La Palma to work so here are a few screenshots:
