October 2, 200421 yr does anyone know if the issues with the baron and mooney will be addressed with the upcoming patch? william
October 2, 200421 yr Author The patch only fixes a couple of specific problems and bugs - the mooey and baron is not mentioned in the announcements. Besides, I never had a problem with either aircraft. Sure, the flight model is a bit generic and the textures are not that good but that is to be expected from default aircraft. -
October 2, 200421 yr Ditto-I fly the Baron all the time. What issues?http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
October 2, 200421 yr thanks guys. well, i've been running everything in default mode including the resolution which defaults to 600x800. it does help alot with the baron but still is a bit pitch happy and the mooney still has that roll to one side. yea, i've experimented with passengers and passanger weight along with fuel weight but still get that roll to one side in the mooney. william
October 2, 200421 yr The roll is either P-Factor or weight and balance. Check your fuel. If they are not even, then it is balance. If they are, it is probably P-factor.Most planes will not maintain pitch on their own. That is why we have trim wheels.
October 2, 200421 yr Author The Baron is indeed a bit sensitive in pitch, but so are many other default aircraft. Try reducing pitch sensitivity in your control settings - this helps a bit.Are you sure the left-roll tendency isn't just the torque effect? The Mooney has a big engine and there's actually a T/O position for the rudder trim. -
October 2, 200421 yr In my experience (the Mooney is my main plane), what causes the roll is the fuel selector: left OR right, but not both. This may or not be realistic -- I have no idea. The effect, though, is very annoying. To fix the problem, switching in a fuel selector gauge from another plane (e.g., one of the Cessnas). For detailed instructions, see Flight Simmer's Knowledge Base http://www.fskb.net/Wiki.jsp under Tips.
October 3, 200421 yr in the past i tried the rudder trim but apparently used to much. tried using just a tiny bit and it seems to make a difference. thanks. william
