Hi just a quick one has any body purchase something with shipping to Australia from PMDG ?. I was very much interested to buy QRH from PMDG ,the price is about 70 dollars ,but after calculating shipping to Australia Sydney it came about 170 dollars .  well I have purchased different things before from US  and I must say this is just the most expensive shipping ever got. Even dive gear is about the same .  Thanks Petr

I've bought many a product over the internet from the US, a considerable amount from Goflight, and the shipping is no where near what is quoted for the PMDG products.

 

I seem to recall the problem not being with PMDG, but the US couriers. Having said that, however, other internet retailers don't have anywhere near similar freight charges.

 

I'm not sure it's a weight related issue either. I've had many an article, similar weights to a PMDG manual, at much lower costs......

I regularly buy books from Amazon and Abe Books for shipment to Australia, the cost usually is between $10-$20. I've found that for some reason US sellers seem to want to use the most expensive postal services (UPS or Fedex) when normal surface mail is cheaper and only takes about 2-3 weeks.
