PMDG MD11X

Featured Replies

Hello, I am new in repainting aircraft for FSX. I am trying to do a livery for the PMDG MD 11. I need help for three things :

1) how can I put the registration on the nose gear door ? I have tried in the fuse_left.psd file but the registration appears on the closed door, not the opened one, when the aircraft is on ground.

2) How to do the same under the right wing ?

3) how to get rid of PMDG written just above the cockpit ?

Thanks

Hi Stéphane

For the PMDG MD-11 Nose wheel doors look at the bottom left hand corner of the two files named PMDG_MD11_Fuse_Left_T and PMDG_MD11_Fuse_Right_T, and to remove the PMDG text from above the cockpit window change the Main and Alpha layers of the file named PMDG_MD11_Decal.dds to blank out (using a solid black colour) the text in the upper right corner and the PMDG text that is roughly in the centre of the same layers.

As for putting the registration on the lower wing surface you need to look at the same Decal texture sheet as the PMDG text and with the template layer turned on place your registration using white text on the wing areas that you want your registration to appear on

I hope it helps.

Good evening Jim

Thanks for the explanation. I have put the registration mark on the nose doors. I will have a look into the "decal" file.

Hi Stéphane

Not a problem I am just happy to hear that you could actually follow the description as I can tend to ramble on a bit with these things.

Good luck with the repainting.
