May 1, 201313 yr I was just wondering if this would work? Sometimes it's nice to do away with the headset so I was thinking would it be possible to have the aircraft sounds and the FO comms coming out of the speakers but with a lapel mic clipped on (so only a couple of inches away from my mouth) to communicate with FS2Crew. I know with a standing desktop mic it would be a no go due to speaker interference but with a lapel mic? Has any body tried this or have any opinions if it would be feasible? Thanks, Darren.

May 1, 201313 yr Author I've heard a few people say desktop mics pick up too much aircraft noise from the speakers and FS2Crew can't pick up your speech clearly thus leading to FO confusion. I may give this a try though as I could do with a decent desktop mic for Skype anyway. May I ask what microphone you have Mike?
May 2, 201313 yr A real cheap one from Plantronics, headphone and mic combined. I have a 32" Samsung with great surround sound and I get no interference at all, you can watch my vids on the NGX and check it out.
