FS2Crew speaker & headphone set up
Hi I've got FS2Crew, speech recognition & the ngx set up perfectly. What I have and what i'm trying to achieve is the following: I have: A pair of Logitech speakers A good headset with microphone I want to achieve the following sound set up if possible? All sounds to come out of the speakers. Aircraft engines and ambient sounds, warning sounds, radio sounds, FS2crew FO & cabin crew voices including all ambient sounds ie passengers loading etc Through my headphones I just want the FS2Crew stuff to come through and the aircraft warning systems and radio sounds if possible but not the aircraft engines and ambient sounds. I would like as near to this set up as possible but if not any suggestions? To achieve this I need to know what settings and levels to have in: FSX Sound set up 737 NGX CDU sound set up FS2Crew sound set up. Any help would be appreciated.

Searching for weather engine
I have Aivlasoft EFB with their own network tool running on my client and that works really well too. It would be great and a heck of a lot simpler if everybody had their own network tool built in i.e. REX, Active Sky, FSC. It would do away with Messing about configuring SimConnect and WideFS.

Searching for weather engine
Just a quick question to FSGRW owners. Im thinking of purchasing this to run on my client laptop. Does FSGRW use Simconnect or Wide FS to connect?

Frooglesim Live Stream
I've been watching the reviews and tutorials on froogles channel for the last year. For me he has the best FSX channel on YouTube. A lot of vids and voices on YouTube are monotonous and boring and everything is far too perfect. You can tell they've flown and recorded the flight a few times till they've got it perfect. Froogle is enthusiastic and funny and he makes the odd dodgy landing or screws something up like the rest of us and just gets on with it. It makes his videos human like us and a lot easier to relate to and therefore more enjoyable. Looking forward to his fully loaded T7 vids. Keep up the good work Froogle.

VOXATC on a client P.C.
Hi I'm thinking of purchasing Voxatc. I have a client pc which I run flight commander on through widefs. I would like to do the same with voxatc. Does voxatc support this and if so are there any do's and don'ts regarding running on a client through widefs? Thanks, Darren

Saitek Pro Flight Yoke aileron axis problem
I'll try the USB thing later on today. That's the big problem really, finding out if its a calibration issue or an actual physical hardware fault.

Saitek Pro Flight Yoke aileron axis problem
Hi I have the aforementioned yoke which I recently bought second hand. The problem is when I turn the yoke slightly to the right the virtual yoke in the ac cockpit mirrors the slight input exactly. But when I make the same input but turning the yoke left there is no movement in the virtual yoke. There is a huge null zone turning the yoke to the left, I would say the null zone turning to the left is about 4 times bigger than turning to the right. I really have to turn it a good distance before the yoke in the VC turns. I have tried all the recallibration settings and altering null zones and sensitivity, the problem being that no matter what I do the right turn and the left turn are massively out of sync. Is it possibly a worn or defective spring? I've not opened it up yet. Or is it just broke? Also I have a full version of FSUIPC, is there anything in there that will even out the uneven null zones? It's a major problem on finals making small corrections as you can imagine and it's making my simming un-enjoyable so I've decided I need to get it sorted once and for all! Thanks, Darren.

Bluescreen windows crash
I've run sfc/scannow with admin rights and nothing came up in the scan. I've got the 314 driver installed for the card. Il run a mem test and a gpu mem test tomorrow and see if that throws anything up. I think it's just gonna be some trial and error testing to get to the bottom of it. Thanks again for the info. Darren.

Lapel microphone for FS2Crew?
I've heard a few people say desktop mics pick up too much aircraft noise from the speakers and FS2Crew can't pick up your speech clearly thus leading to FO confusion. I may give this a try though as I could do with a decent desktop mic for Skype anyway. May I ask what microphone you have Mike?

Lapel microphone for FS2Crew?
I was just wondering if this would work? Sometimes it's nice to do away with the headset so I was thinking would it be possible to have the aircraft sounds and the FO comms coming out of the speakers but with a lapel mic clipped on (so only a couple of inches away from my mouth) to communicate with FS2Crew. I know with a standing desktop mic it would be a no go due to speaker interference but with a lapel mic? Has any body tried this or have any opinions if it would be feasible? Thanks, Darren.

Which hard drives for windows and FSX? or both on the same Hd?
Hi Craig Thats an interesting point about an ssd only having a limited lifespan with writes as I do use REX weather. It isn't something I was aware of so I'd be interested to know the answer to this. I'll probably put them both on the ssd for now but when I get a better second hard drive be it ssd or high end hdd I'll move fsx across. You are right with the price of ssd's but they are slowly creeping down. Samsung are doing a cash back offer at the minute on amazon in the uk so that tipped the balance for me.

Which hard drives for windows and FSX? or both on the same Hd?
Thanks for the quick reply Dario. It has always been stuck in my head that windows and fsx MUST be put on separate drives so I thought I would ask the question. I shall get on on with my install Many thanks, Darren.

Which hard drives for windows and FSX? or both on the same Hd?
Hi I've recently done a major hardware upgrade to my rig, mobo, cpu, gpu, ram and an ssd. I'm going to reinstall windows 7 64bit and then fsx with the handful of add-ons I have. The big question I've got is just how important is it to have windows and fsx on separate drives? Is it a necessity, very important, important or would it simply just be the ideal thing to do? I currently have an ageing slow seagate 500gb hdd and a Samsung 840 256gb ssd. Due to having spent up upgrading my rig, another ssd is out of the question for a couple of months till funds have been replenished when hopefully I will be purchasing another 256 gb ssd or possibly a 512gb when I will be doing a bit of moving things about. I really want to have windows booting and running quickly and also the same with fsx so very tempted to put them both on the ssd but I shall wait for more knowledgeable people to me to respond. Waiting is also not a option as my rig has been apart for a week and I'm having fsx withdrawal symptoms. As mentioned earlier my fsx is very small and not likely to grow too much in the next couple of months. So, for now, do I a, install both windows and fsx on the ssd and then split them when I can afford another ssd b, install windows on the ssd and fsx on the hdd c, install windows on the hdd and fsx on the ssd Many thanks in advance, Darren.

Information sponger turning into Avsim poster
Hi all. After getting into flight simming last year and months of lurking I thought it time to say hello as I will be posting in the hardware forum after upgrading from an ageing i3 system to something more capable of running fsx well. I've done a mobo change so full windows and fsx install from scratch tomorrow. Should be fun! I've been learning the 737ngx for the past couple of months and found the aircraft and its systems very engaging to the point I had to remind my partner today that I do still live here lol. Anyway a big thank you from me to the community for all the archived information I've made use of so far as I probably would of got frustrated and given up months ago without it. Regards, Darren.
