I do plan on getting FSwater soon, but for now I am using the freeware water textures. I have waterzone.zip textures installed now but I'm thinking of changing them. I would like to know which textures are better waterzone or vater? What advantages does one set of textures have over the other? Which one is better?

>>which one is better?as far as the freeware textures i usually hear about the ones you've already tried. which do you like? i find discussion of water textures kind of useless unless people include screenshots. otherwise its pretty subjective, what one person likes is annoying or not appropriately colored to someone else.another issue is where you fly. if you fly where the ocean is darker (northern CA and northwest pacific), darker textures look better, but may not look as good for lakes, or on the east coast.

I haven't tried vater yet because I don't really want to install vater, find out it's not very good then have to re-install waterzone again.And to answer the question of where do I fly......I fly all over North America, Europe, and sometimes Asia.
