July 12, 200322 yr First, check the Airport Facility Directory and/or your VFR sectional to see if there is a designated UNICOM or CTAF frequency. If no frequency is listed in either reference, you could use the MULTICOM frequency 122.9. Check out this link for more info:http://www2.faa.gov/atpubs/aim/Chap4/aim0401.html#4-1-11122.0 is the frequency for Flight Watch, where you can obtain en route weather information from 6am to 10pm if you're above 5000' but below the flight levels.John
