Track IR scan settings not "sticking"

Featured Replies

I am having to reset the Track IR scan frequency in the GUI each time I launch OpusFSX. It is always defaulting to 12.

Version 3.00.0 is my install.

Thanks again for a great product.

Hi Henry, it should be saved as part of the config data file in the OpusFSX folder, perhaps the file is locked or not accessible?

No permissions issues...checked security on folder and propagated "users" "full control" into the files. Tried rebooting and just running OpusFSX by itself. Still same result.

Upon further testing, it looks like I can set to 6ms but no lower. Is there a hard coded lower limit?

For now 6ms is "sticking" and no head shaking with AccuFeel turned off. With AccuFeel turned on, will need to be lower based on previous versions of OpusFSX...perhaps as low as 3ms.

Let me know what you find.

Thanks

Check and make sure any change is preserved after closing and re opening the Configure dialog. Then check to see if your FSXSERVER data and cfg files are updating when you close the program. If you check the sharing and security permissions remember the permissions (Full Control for the user group Everyone) must appear in both the permissions set in the Sharing and Security tabs, two separate tabs in the properties, and two separate permissions.

I will double check when we return that the TIR scan rate is being saved OK with the other data, but can't do much at the moment except advise on possible causes.

Yes, checked those permissions as well. Still will not maintain scan speed below 6ms.

Please enjoy your holiday and don't rush to get back to this :-)

Hi Henry

We have just checked the TIR scan speed. The valid range is 6ms to 60ms, if you set it outside this range it will default to 12. I'll amend our documentation and we will change the dialog so that you cannot enter a value less than 6ms.
