Hi

When I try to open a flight plan from FSX I have the following message

 

"Class not registered

You need the following file to be installed on your machine MSSTDFMT.DLL"

 

What is this all about? How come it did not come with the purchase?

VISTA and later versions of windows no longer include certain run-time dlls used by the programming language used for RC. These are available on the internet. After installing these into the correct windows folders they have to be registered per the directions in the pinned topic.

 

The ascentive link is no longer valid. Use this but choose the download zip file, not the fixer:

On that same page expand the installation instructions header and scroll down to the zip file installation instructions.

 

Similar approaches are used for any missing .ocx files.
