Good on Aerosoft for giving this addon airport the elbow. Good to see that a publisher is not accepting crap, which I understand, this airport was going to be.

Meh some preview pics I found don't look that bad, I wouldn't call it crap, just not up to standards of modern Aerosoft products. 

I'm one of those that thought the quality was not there. It looked very 2005/2006 ish.

 

Reading the linked thread it seems another developer knowen for higher quality is working on an Adelaide. Will be interesting to see what happens.  Along with Perth and Sydney, it is the few major Australian airports to need some scenery.
