G-Force exceeded on weather Update

Hello guys!

 

I'm using OpusFSX with REX and FSPassengers.

Sometimes if I got a weather update, my passenger said that i have exceeded the g-force limit and the plane jumps from the left ot the right.

My speed changes from .89 to .79 during the update and my passengers are screaming

 

I dont know if this is normal, but i havent got the problems with active sky.

Hope somebody can help me beacuse this is rellay annoying.

Its all down to the infamous FSX winds aloft bug which only occurs when you inject real world varied weather conditions, something AS does not do, it uses a global weather METAR type update. I see you are not using any of the default settings which will help combat this.

Try setting all default settings in all the weather dialogs. This should enable the Adjust Settings Automatically and Adjust Sim Friendly GRIB Data options which are clearly needed on your system.

Make sure you specify your Destination and Max Cruise Altitude, then Update the weather. You will need to specify a cruise altitude of at least 6000 feet in order to use GRIB forecast data for RW upper winds and temperatures. Specifying the Destination helps the LWE ensure your destination weather is correct as you near your destination. Install beta version 3.03.6 if you want to take advantage of the new long range destination weather within the sim.

Before you fly get used to using the Opus Local, Lower, Upper, and Destination weather reports. The Destination report will provide a perfect ATIS from over 400 miles away.

If you are flying with the sim rate speeded up, especially above x2 then it is possible to get wind shifts. Certain aircraft sims are more susceptible to wind shifts.
If FSX is struggling to cope due to the number of add-on packages, detailed scenery, high defintion high resolution cloud textures (we recommend non HD low resolution textures) etc then wind shifts are more likely.

 

Just set your Destination, Max Cruise Altitude and enable Adjust Options Automatically. If your system has wind shifts enable the Adjust Sim Friendly Options, if your system has severe wind shifts then enable the Use Maximum Stabilisation option too.        

 

PMDG 737 NGX Problems

Problems with "S" turns, auto pilot disconnects, wind shear alerts at cruise altitude and severe wind shifts may be caused by corrupted OPTIONS.INI files (not the 737ngxoptions.ini) in the \Flight Simulator X\PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\Aircraft folder. It affects SimConnect, which also affects other addons that use SimConnect. The options.ini files contain configuration settings for the NGX, the info that you set up in the CDU. When downloading a new livery, it would be good practice to delete the options.ini file, and create a new one via the CDU.

Just this 2 options activated and no problem anymore!

 

Did not respect these settings.

Unfortunately I have now and still wind shifts, despite the correct settings.

A further question:

Why I have no turbulence and why not move my wing (WINGFLEX) in the wind?

You could also try the Stabilised GRIB Data option.

 

To see wing flex enable FSX turbulence, also the 'Advanced Animations' option in the FSX menu option - Options, Settings, Display - Graphics tab and you must also enable Include Wing Flex Data in the OpusFSX Weather dialog's General User Preferences.

When downloading a new livery, it would be good practice to delete the options.ini file, and create a new one via the CDU. Also make sure you put in an assumed temp in the NGX "Perf" page, which you can get from your GRIB report (OpusWeatherReport.txt or Upper Atmosphere weather report window), for cruising altitude, ensure you don't omit the minus sign if appropriate.
