CRJ NextGen V2 Freezes FSX

I have just bought the CRJ NextGen V2.

 

Each time I fly it, it will run for a few minutes, then the screen greys out, FSX freezes, and the dreaded message appears (Flight Simulator X has encountered a problem...). Then, nothing...

 

After quite an age FSX closes down, but several times I have had to just turn the computer off. Ctrl-Alt-Del won't even work.

 

Does anyone have any words of wisdom, suggestions, or know where I might go to find some?

 

Any help greatly appreciated.

 

I'm running FSX on a dedicated PC with W7-64, 8MB RAM, i5-2500k @ 3.3 GHz, NVidia GTX570.

 

PMDG (of course) runs beautifully along with my Orbx scenery and a host of other add-ons that DO work and never give me any trouble, so hopefully it's not me or the computer.
