Looking to upgrade my card from the 6870 to an NVIDIA card this time. I have a budget of no more than £300 and I'm looking to see a reasonable different. Any have any recommendations?

With that budget you can get a gtx770 also and that will be a pretty good upgrade from your 6870.

Not anymore. Looks like the best bang for buck right now is the GTX760. - Nearly identical 670 performance for only $250!
