FS Frame Rate Problems

Featured Replies

I have a 2.4 Ghz computer with 512 RAM, and a good video and graphics card as well (not sure what kind..just know it's good). Generally in air I have great framerates, and around 10 when I'm on the ground with an addon airport. I should be getting much better, but the real problem is on approach when I get down to around 10k feet and start to get lower once I get on final my frames eventually drop below 5, sometimes down to 2 making it a slide show. There has to be something wrong, because I should have better frames than that. This happens at mainly addon airports, but it does a lot on default as well. Does anyone know how to get rid of this problem?

i would check the hints and tips section above...lots of good advice about your problem there best wishes steve

Hello:Look in Device Manager (Right Click My Computer - Properties - Hardware Tab - Device Manager)Push the + sign next to Display Adapters - give us the name of your card. That would help a great deal!

I read and responded to your post in the "other" forum. With the settings you have pictured on your machine, you should be happy with the FPS your getting. I have a 3.4 gig Area 51 and don't have the setting set as high as you do!

I noticed his settings on "the other forum" too. In fact, considering his settings of all, even the most resource-hogging, sliders to the extreme right, this guy is getting truly SPECTACULAR framerates, and yet he's complaining because he "should get more". Some people are never happy (shakes head in sad disbelief)...Be well!Jaap Verduijn.
