win8 and sbuilderx 313 scasm not 64bit program

i am very new at all this i recently bought fsx and tried to make some scenery for my home town of adelaide australia i downloaded sbuilderx 313 have new super fast computor with the new win8 system 64 bit now the question i need to find out is where can i get a scasm program for a 64 bit system  the error when i try to load sbuilderx 313 is fsx sdk/sdk/tools/shp2 vec.exe is denied also am i right here or am i up the wrong path all i want to do is add some buildings to fsx is there another program  that will do the job ?

You are up the wrong path.

 

Windows 8, like all the Windows 64 bit operating systems will run 32 bit software.

 

I suspect that what you have done is to install FSX SDK and/or SbuilderX into the "program files" folder and that the error you are seeing is because Windows 8 is over protective of this folder,

ie, it will not allow other programs to access files inside it.

 

I suggest that you uninstall FSX SDK and SbuilderX.

Then create another folder, you might call it "Programs", on your C drive.

Re-install Sbuilder and FSX SDK and any other addon programs you may have into this

folder and your problem will go away.

 

I would suggest also that you use the properties\compatability tab to make all your addon software run as an administrator.

that fixed the problem thanks for your help nick workig great, now i only have to learn how to use it
