Very high taxi thrust (40 % N1 +)

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with what I find to be very high taxi-thrust settings in the B737 NGX. At 40 % N1 it accelerates very slowly and if I pull the throttle back to approx 30 % it begins to decelerate.

This hasn't always been so. I remember being able to accelerate rather quickly to 20 kts at 40 % and then it would continue to taxi with almost idle thrust.

I have no other addons than REX installed.

Is this a known issue and is there a known solution?

If this has already been covered elsewhere I apologize.

Best regards,

Mikkel Gylling Hangaard

Have you installed any add-ons recently?

Have you been playing with the ground-friction (there is a thread about the tweaks)?

Well I installed IVAOs pilot client. Thereafter I completely reinstalled FSX and REX. I don't know if it matters but I use Xtreme FSX PC to load FSX. I can't imagine it fiddles with any ground friction, though.

I should probably add I have SP1C installed and it happens irrespective of weight.

Best regards,

Mikkel

Make sure if you have rudder pedals etc, the brakes are set as sensitive as they will go. You can have brakes applied a minute amount without the brakes label appearing, so you would never know.

Sounds like a logical explanation. I will try it later and report how it goes. Thanks :)

Turned out to be the solution. Set the brake axis to full and it works as it should. Thank you very much for this hint.
