FS9 blurred textures

Featured Replies

Hi!

I have a new problem with some specific airports with blurred textures.

So, KLAX  and KMIA sometimes give me blurred textures, out of nowhere.

I have checked my Videocard settings, the FS9 config, etc. and , as far as I have seen, all other

airports have normal, sharp images. So, what can be the problem?  Is it the default aerial photos

for the airports, or something else?  It is very mysterious.

Grateful for any help.

Thanks.

Hi Hans.

May first suggestion is if you have a lot of AI operating at those two airports try disabling the AI temporarily while at one or the other. It may be that with a large number of AI your system may be struggling a little. That might cause the photo textures to lose resolution. (display a lower mip level) If the AI are not the issue then I would look at the FS9\Scenery\Cities\ (names go here) texture folder(s) to see if any changes to the textures size and format have been made. For instance you might be seeing one of the lower resolution mip map levels (more blurred) instead of 256 x 256 default primary for up close.

Let us know what you discover and we can go from there.

Regards,

Mel
