October 27, 200421 yr yes, Avsim (though the last time was over a year ago)...They were quite positive too.So is fs.com quite regularly...
October 27, 200421 yr Yeah, I don't envy Avsim and other sites either having to balance it out with the reviews and their advertising partners. Must be a bit like juggling with 5 balls at once while drinking a beer at the same time. After seeing my thread about FSD pulled last night (completly DELETED, not just locked), I can understand how much weight the payware developers carry with this sort of thing. But, on the other hand,I see a kind of George Orwell communism here: "All people are equal, but some are more equal than others"If this thread had been slagging FSD off, it'd have got deleted long ago, for one thing, what's been said here about PF goes waaaay beyond what was said about FSD yesterday. But..I'm probably just an old cynic to think like that, or? :+ Reminds me of the song from Cabaret: "Money makes the world go round, the world go round, the world go round...." :)BestGrahame (EDHL)
October 27, 200421 yr This thread did not accuse any company of stealing customer's money either.Edit: this will be only reponse on this topic for now.
October 27, 200421 yr KenI have no problem with you or Avsim, but I think it is fair to point out that my question yesterday was whether or not this COULD be considered as theft. I didn't directly accuse the company in question (FSD) of stealing my money, I just wanted to know what other people thought about this problem, It's not my fault that a whole bunch of ex-FSD customers used my post as an excuse to have a dig at FSD. I'm dissapointed that noone from FSD had the decency to state their case in the thread, they could at least have answered my (very polite) email from yesterday. The headline was maybe a bit reactionary, I appolgise for that,I forgot the question mark at the end, but the content was entirely reasonable, until the thread got hijacked to be used for other purposes. At least I NOW know that FSD allows 3 dl's before they start to make things difficult for the buyer, if I'd knowm that back then I'd have thought twice about buying their stuff ( for $153.80 altogether btw) I'm old enough to know when I'm flogging a dead horse, as we say in england, so I've given up trying to get my stuff back from them, and I'm sorry if my post caused any problems.BestGrahame (EDHL)

I saw a number of people, including myself, relate their bad experiences with FSD.I don't know why you are backing off now, but you DID say: "What is when you buy software from a company, and can't use it anymore due to them saying you've dl'ed it too often? Arn't they just as guilty of theft as the crackers?"While it may be just a matter of semantics as to how that statement was phrased, it sure sounds like an accusation to me. I see no reason to point fingers at everyone else who posted in that thread. If I am misunderstanding you somehow, I apologize.
October 27, 200421 yr Hey guys:Let's not go off topic here - especially on to this topic again.Thank you for your understanding.
October 28, 200421 yr Thanks for the heads up. I just voted with my feet and my pocket book and deleted them from my Favorites folder. The good news is I never bougth anything from them in the first place.
October 28, 200421 yr If liberty means anything, it is the right to tellother people things they don't want to hear.George Orwell
