July 24, 201312 yr We've got the 50s/60s propliner people hoarding over at CalClassic, the 70s people at HJG and we've got the late 1990s and present day jet jockeys everywhere else. What about the people inbetween, more specifically, pilots flying in a (roughly) 1980s environment? The reason I'm asking is, that I, so far, have resonably backdated 1980s AFX files for DFW and ORD and I need people to take them for a short spin. I am especially looking for proper AI handling as I had to delete a runway at each airport. The guys at RetroAI, the normally most appropriate place for such a request, seem to be almost exclusively FS9 fliers, so willing labrats are few and far between. Anyone? 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
July 25, 201312 yr Author Well, this is what I'm talking about: DFW International Terminal (I've demolished the new one in turn): I've also removed 35R-17L and a ton of taxiways contructed post 1990. ORD:Removed Terminal 5, restored cargo area (which gets occupied by UAL though).Too lazy to restore terminal 1 with its original concourse. Besides, the new one offers more parking anyway.Restored much of the original cargo area (and the water reservoir between the runways). I've also removed 9L-27R, lengthened 34L-16R and removed the construction works for 10R-28L. Finishing up DFW at the moment, then moving on to one of the airports *not* requiring (major) demolition (like LAX). 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
July 27, 201312 yr Very cool! One of my favorite periods. I never changed it though...what are you using for traffic?
July 27, 201312 yr Author RetroAI. Very time consuming to install, but the only option if you want to go back in time. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
