Real Environment Extreme Updates

Featured Replies

REX Game Studios announced the release of Service Pack 2 for REX Essential PLUS and REX Essential PLUS w/OverDrive for Microsoft’s Flight Simulator X and Prepar3D, as well as REXPlane Service Pack 4 for X-Plane.

Service Pack 2 for the REX Essential PLUS line of products includes many new enhancements to its dual weather engine features as well as general fixes. Per user feedback, the WXPLUS mode of weather injection now includes the ability to adjust the weather refresh rate. Now you can add more depth to the weather region in WXPLUS mode by enabling the new 3D interpolation setting to fill in synoptic stations, which enables approaching weather from a distance. This new technology coupled with the WX Textures feature in REX offers up an incredible real-world weather environment.

Both the WXPLUS and STANDARD mode of weather engines have been updated for better accuracy and interpretation utilizing over 40 weather elements, giving the user a robust set of tools.

REXPlane, the texture and weather tool for X-Plane 9 has been updated with Service Pack 4. REXPlane now accesses the same REX EDGE data servers as it big brother for FSX/P3D. Enhancements have been made to weather representation as well as general fix items to the WASYS mapping system.
