August 7, 201312 yr Hey, I am back after several years away... I have been around AVSIM since the FS 98 and early PSS days. (I was even at the AVSIM Annual Gathering where we toured Dulles behind the scenes and visited the Air and Space Museum storage hanger. That was a good time riding around in our own " lounge shuttle"... Anyway, hello to all. Sorry I have been away. Now I am getting set up again. I installed Global AI Traffic after reading all about it, and it is working great. I bought Super Traffic Board and I am running it on a second machine via WideFS. I am hanging around Amsterdam (EHAM) to view traffic and I noticed the high volume of flights (departures) that get canceled. What causes this? I would say that a little less than half of the flights get canceled. I have renamed my default traffic bgl file to *.bak to prevent loading. I have GA and Commercial sliders at 100% I have Mega Airport Amsterdam loaded for scenery. (Lot of parking available.) While I am on the board, I will slide an unrelated question in...(Smile on pile on)... With the latest FSX generation, can I edit the AFCAD file for EHAM to mark more runways open for landing? Thanks for any help. It is good to be back. Dennis Mitchell
August 7, 201312 yr 1. Global AI is a pirated AI package. 2. Lack of specific parking. If the parking needed for a specific plane is not available then the plane will not show.
August 7, 201312 yr Author Ouch, I did not know that. Thanks for that information Jim. Too bad, it sure made for busy airports. I have UT2 but there were so many 'unpainted planes'. In FS2004, I corrected most of that and do not look forward to doing it again. (I do love the UT2 program though.) So, WOAI?? Any other recommendations for a fully populated international Airport? I am willing to buy a solution. MyTafficX? I know it is really a preference. DM
August 8, 201312 yr I believe I read somewhere (was it the MTX manual?) that AI aircraft disappear a certain time after thier scheduled departure (15-30 mins, I think), if they are still on the ground - and the same applies for arriving aircraft being in FSX's "holding pattern" for too long. This could be your problem as well as you said it happens at EHAM, with 100% traffic. Florian
