August 8, 201312 yr Apologies if this has been covered in the past; I've searched the forums but could not find anything on this topic. Landing at uncontrolled airports at night. Is there a way to activate the runway lights in FSX such as in the real-world by keying the radio? Any info will be appreciated! Thanks!

August 8, 201312 yr If the airport has lighting, it will always be on in FSX at night. If there is no lighting, it is because the AFCAD or default scenery for that airport doesn't have it listed. Wether its uncontrolled or not does not matter, the lights are dependent on the scenery file. However on that note, there have been some scenery developers which have implementated PAL (Pilot Activated Lighting) into their scenery where tuning a frequency will turn the lights on. This isn't completely realistic as in real life you have to PTT 3 times for it to active the PAL (and then usually an automatic voice will say 'Airport Lights Activated').
