Voice recognition

Featured Replies

Hey guys and gals,Just a quick question, I am looking to buy or download a programme which will enable me to become more involved with ATC ie having to read back instructions verbally instead of pressing keys etc and which also offers set SID and STAR options, diversions and declared emergencies. Although I have heard of Vatsim (but know very little) are there any programmes where you can interact with software rather than people on-line? What is the Voice buddy package like?Cheers:-beerchug

No to interact with ATC you have to talk to real persons. Voice buddy 2 is the best voice recognition programme for FS 2004 but it won

You have two choices...1) Download "Flight Assistant". It's a free virtual copilot that uses MS' Speech recognition system. Very handy as a copilot but it will not interact with the ATC.2) Besides that rather than flying at VATSIM or IVAO, you can buy FSCOM 2004. It says it is a speech recognition system that you will speak to ATC rather then type. US$ 55 but I am still waiting for a good review before I risk that amount of cash. For more info search for "FSCOM2004" or "FSCOM2004" here at AVSIM forum or go to their webpage. Don't have the link now here but google has it. I believe that SR feature will be implemented in FS2006.Pilot_76.

Ouch, sorry, search for "FSCOM2004" or "FSCOM 2004".There's a review over FSCOM 2002 for FS2002. 2 page long on the net. Google has it.Pilot_76.

Thanks for the information.
