FM-2 Wild Cat returns from -200 ft and 70 years

Recommended Posts

Some  interesting pictures I took at Air Venture of the FM-2 Wild Cat that was recently recovered from a depth 200 feet under Lake Michigan. It has been upside down in the sand for 70 years. There are still about 200 aircraft down there that need to be recovered soon or there will be nothing left.  However, it is like pulling teeth to get approval from the US Navy to recover them. And for comparison, what it would have looked like before it went in the drink.
