I would appreciate if someone can point me to instructions on the semantics of the content of the PMDG/SIDSTAR folder. Seems like its'fairly simple to edit these files.

I suppose those flat files are re-written any time one updates the navigraph airac content for PMDG in FSX. .. just drop a comment on this point  to confirm. Thanks

Yes, if the airport that you have edited is included in Navigraph's database, then it will be overwritten (even if nothing has changed at that airport with the AIRAC update).

 

I just back up the folder each time incase I update and forget to backup my procedure files for NZQN etc.

And does anyone have a document with the instructions / specs of the syntaxis one has to use to edit those procedures?
