small issues with fairchild model :)

Featured Replies

It's such a beautiful model it deserves those small fixes.. or so I believe!

Going outside there's a seem problem that looks like z-fighting (you need to check that live). The levers and other chrome parts.. they need to be less glossy and more chrome like.. hard to put the finger on it but I think it's mainly too glossy.. I mean it looks almost like a material without texture if you know what I mean. Btw, I'm not sure but maybe it can use few more polys. The aircraft is incredibly smooth so there might be extra room for adding that extra detail. :)

other problem is the strobe light:

It's way too strong.. I think using a light texture like the one used for the nav lights will work tons better!

Few other things I noticed: the metal part that holds the leather strap :) it's front face has the texture mapping stretched up pretty bad.. now since this thing is part of your main display, it's quite noticeable. Other thing regarding the strap is the animation. I think it needs smoothing out. I saw the Sibwings developer doing an animated strap on his birddog and that one works perfectly so maybe take advice from Alex? And last thing, the compass! I think it looks too "2d". Compare to the beautiful work on the gauges!

The engine sounds could use a few db up!

With these sorts with an update... oh wow it will be superb+! :)

Awesome work Bill and team!
