November 5, 200421 yr I have FS9 and when I go into Multi-Player everything works fine. When I try to disconnect a screen comes up (white box) that asked if I really want to disconnect. If I answer YES, my sys does nothing. The screen is frozen with this white box still in place. The only way I can get back to desk top is though Ctrl/Alt/Delete and then shut down FS9. I have Windows XP Home, service pack 2, Direct X9.0c, Radeon 9800pro,128, latest ATI drivers, 1024 ram,. I do not have the FS9 update install as of yet. Any help appreciated.....Ed
November 8, 200421 yr Hi Ed,The multiplayer.dll is updated with the fs9.1 update. I cannot say if it will fix your problem. The update can be installed and uninstalled without harm to your fs2004 installation. I tested installing and uninstalling numerous times on several computer. If you follow the instructions provided at the download website or in the readme file that is placed in your flight simulator 9 folder (make an extra copy and place elsewhere because the uninstall does remove the readme), you shouldn't have any problems.W. November 9, 200421 yr Thanks Sieffert,I have had this problem since the day that I first installed fs9. When I leave M/P the white screen comes up and asked me if I really want to exit M/P. The next screen says disconnecting M/P and this is where my sys locks up. Can get back to desk top using ctrl/alt/delete and shut down fs9 in this menu. I have removed fs9 saving some of my folders (aircraft,Addon scenery, gauges, etc.) to another folder. Made a new install of fs9 and then install the fs9.1 update. Now I get a message that says can't find the path to fs9. Also after reinstall I notice that I still have all of my addon a/c. However, the gauges were missing on the addon a/c. Some things don'tget removed with the uninstall of fs9.Thinking about getting another hard drive and using it just for fs9.Will do another uninstall of fs9 but will make a copy of the readme in fs9.1 before doing so. If this one fails, I will try Microsoft. Hard to get much from them or else I just don't know how to reach them. Thanks for reply.....Ed
March 25, 200521 yr I have this exact same problem. It just freezes and never comes out of it. I have the patch installed. It was not an issue until SB3 came out. Now, because SB3 crashes left and right, the MP session closes and that locks-up MSFS.Anyone know how to resolves the MP lockup on exit issue?James
