August 21, 201312 yr I'm looking to make the leap from my current 5 year old HP netbook and FS9 to a solid FSX system to run complex addons, budget around 1k GBP. I'm using cyberpowers website to build a custom PC (may self build but want opinions from UK people on how much money that will really save). Here is what I have been able to juice out of my budget: CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-4670K Quad Core 3.40 GHz 6MB Cache LGA1150 + HD Graphics ***Overclockable XXX*** CS_FAN: Maximum Case Cooling Fans for your selected case [+10] FAN: Asetek 510LC Liquid Cooling system w/ 120mm Radiator (Asetek CPU Water Cooling ***Overclockable XXX***) HDD: 1TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s Cache 7200RPM Hard Drive (Single Hard Drive) HDD2: NONE HOMEINSTALL: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit MEMORY: 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3/1600mhz Dual Channel Memory (Kingston HyperX Blu w/Heat Spreader) MOTHERBOARD: GIGABYTE Z87-HD3 Intel Z87 Chipset, ATX Mainboard w/ 4 RAM slots, 7.1 HD Audio, HDMI, GbLAN, USB 3.0, SATA-III, 1x Gen2 PCIe x16, 1x Gen2 PCIe x4, 2x PCIe x 1 & 2x PCI OVERCLOCK: XXX Overclocking (CPU Extreme overclock: guaranteed min. 20%, max. 30%.) [+49] POWERSUPPLY: 600 Watts Power Supplies [+34] (Corsair 600 Watts CX600 Gaming Power Supply, 80+) SOUND: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB Boost Edition 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card [+90] (Major Brand Powered by NVIDIA) There is room to try different motherboards etc because I don't know much about the motherboard side of things. This will total £883.20 inc taxes without a screen (sourcing one myself). I'm very open to suggestions, I have months before it comes to purchasing because I'm still saving the money so please do make any criticisms and suggestions. Thanks! James Bennett
