I was watching the show air disaster's on TV and they were talking about the next gen system and how radar is very unreliable in certain areas. They were showing this display that shows you all the other ac and there call sign, speed, and course. It also shares this info with atc and other ground stations. I realize this is just one small area of NextGen but Is this been implemented wide stream on airliners? Is this TCAS or ADSB? Without showing the contacts info?
