C-46 preview unable to install

Featured Replies

So one of the guys from the Steam forums is having troubles with installing the C-46 preview. I told him I would check here and see what you guys can do. Here's the full quote

I downloaded and installed a couple preview planes while in Hanger view.

Then I downloaded and attempted to install the C-46. At about 90% downloaded, I had to quickly close the cover of my laptop to kill the music sound from Flight to answer the phone which put the laptop to sleep. 20 minutes later I opened the laptop and the C-46 was downloaded but would not install.

I then successfully downloaded and installed ALL the remaining preview planes in the Hanger.

Now, no matter what I do (delete, cancel, download, redownload, Flight, Marketplace) the C-46 will download but STILL will not install.

Here's the error message:

A required certificate is not within its validity period when verifying against the current system clock or the timestamp in the signed file. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800B0101)

What should I do? It seems the interruption during the very first download did something bad.

This install is not within STEAM since Flight stopped working in my win7 STEAM. It is a direct install in win7.

???

Hope you guys can help him.

Not sure it will work but he could try deleting this directory:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Xlive\DLC\4d5308d2\00000002\f46f1f00385fad61777b8749716572f7511a311a

This is where the C-46 dlc is installed in Win7

Then hopefully he will be able to redownload it
