Airbus extended and RC4

Featured Replies

Hi,

to get rc4 sounds through my headset, i use to switch the default device of mc pc to headset while fsx is running. The cockpit sounds stay on the loudspeakers.

When running the aerosoft airbus the cockpits sounds follow the device setting and i get all sounds on my ears.

Are there others captains who solved this issue.

RC 4 does not go through the FS audio mixer but plays direct to your WAV mixer of Windows. Does the ABX audio play through FSX? If other aircraft separate I'd look for options in the Airbus settings. Typically with a complex aircraft, they might have a dropdown menu in the FS menu bar to get to their own settings.

Some users here that cannot do this use WideFS  and a simpler PC to run RC on a client computer using its headphone output to an FS host computer.

I check also your version of DX which will vary depending on your operating system and audio card compatibility.

There were some settings added in Win 8 that might have to do with this dealing with splitting channels for desktop/room audio arrangements and that might affect what you are trying to do.

You might also check on the ABX support forum regarding this since it appears model specific.
