Some White Airplanes after re-install of FSX

Featured Replies

Recently I had to do a total uninstall and reinstall of FSX due to some problem that just couldn't be fixed. It was probably due to something stupid I did but don't know what it was. I had many expert AVSIM members over several days trying to get me up and flying but nothing worked. Prior to the re-install I used DX10 100% of time. Steve's shader files, bonus files, and Paul's "How to" Notes brought us FSX10.

However, after a clean install of FSX and now adding addons I have run into a problem with DX10, which I didn't have before. I am now epxeriencing some "white" airplanes, which I think are the Orbx AI. ( sure some are ok) I did not have this problem with Orbx planes previously. What solved the "White" airplanes prior to reinstall was replacing "bkg.bmp" texture file located in the main FSX folder with Steve's . That solved it with no more "white airplanes", but after reinstall I have some "white" ones. Just an example is when I take off from orbx KORS there were no white planes.but now there are a few. I don't have a clue why these same planes which were just fine before are now "white". If anyone might have any ideas would appreciate your help.

I have reinstalled Steve's files and Orbx's AI airplanes but still have the problem. Everything else is back to normal.

Update: Re-install the original bkg.bmp and found out about "white" planes increased, which concluded that Steve's file does help with some of the planes. Just will live with it. Hope the new update coming out soon will make it even better.
