Howard 500 fuel gauge problem

Featured Replies

Hi Milton,I wasn't expecting a reply actually, thanks for your interest!I'm running FS9, patch applied; the Howard is the FS2004 hw500vc4, wouldn't know how to check the version (the air file, hw500m4.air, shows a "rev 3" when I look at it using a hex editor). Don't remember if downloaded from avsim or from your site.I had a look into the relevant gauge, but the part used to select tanks contains some "magic" I'm totally unfamiliar with. I noticed though that the code to select the front and rear tank selector is different from the one to select the mains. Thanks again for replying and for a wondereful airplane!Cristian.

Hi, its me again :-)Looks like I spoke to soon about the fuel gauge. Its still not working as it should I think. Did a short flight and practiced some descents and approaches, and the fuel was drained from rear tank if main was selected. Didnt matter what the fuel pump selector was set at.Been thinking it could have something to do with what aircraft is default when FS is started, but no matter what I use as default the problem is there. Even tried to load with different aircrafts and change to the Howard, but it didnt help.Looked at the xml code but I only have limited knowledge about this, so I was unable to figure out what could be wrong.Hope Scott can figure this out.JT
