Windows keeps changing my power settings?

I figured out why joysipticks keep cutting out it essentially has to do with the windows 8 power settings, and something called selective suspend. Now I will disable this, and every now and then, I'll come back to fly, after awhile, only to find that the settings have been changed back to power saver. I have noticed that certain other things will not save occasionally when you turn off the computer and turn it off and back on. This is driving me nuts, how do I stop this auto reset of my settings?
