FlyTampa scenery question

Featured Replies

Hello all, I recently installed Windows XP on my hard drive, and I've noticed a HUGE improvement on my system's performance (as opposed to that with Windows ME). As a result, I'm feeling a little more brave about what I add onto my computer. I do have a question though: is the scenery for Miami actually better on frames than the default Miami scenery? I had heard that this was the case for FlyTampa's San Fransisco scenery, and I'm quite interested in the Miami scenery. Any info from current users of the product would be appreciated. My system (this may be a factor in your opinions) is a P4 1.5Ghz, 128MB Radeon 9200, 767MB SDRAM. Thanks for reading,George

No, you will not get better framerates. As good as Fly Tampa is, it will definately impact a system such as yours. Their Fly San Francisco is much better because I believe they have had 4-5 previous airports created in which to gain experience on modeling techniques to produce better FPS.It wold be extremely hard for anyone to model an airport which produces better FPS than the default solely because most default airports are so basic.Ch eck there website to see if they have a trial version so you can decide for yourself.

True, perhaps I will. Thank you for your input. The Miami (default) scenery is already detailed, however. This was why I was asking about the fps difference. George
